About me
My name is Raphael Kirchner. I studied philosophy and psychology before eventually ending up in software development. From the outset, I was fascinated by how humans and machines process information, where the similarities lie, and where those comparisons begin to break down.
For more than three decades, I have worked as a developer, product manager, and consultant. Since spring 2023, I have been using AI intensively—not just as a tool, but as a sparring partner and a space for exploring thoughts, ideas, and decisions.
I am interested in two sides of the same development: What does sustained work with AI do to the way we think, to our brains, and to our lives? And what can we do with it ourselves—what new possibilities open up when we use AI not merely to carry out tasks, but as something to think with?
On Aporeo, I write about how we think, create, and solve problems with AI—and how that changes our work, our creativity, and our relationship with ourselves. And who knows—some of these ideas might eventually turn into practical tools.
